CGA is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO No:059-760) and encompasses all aspects of aquatics, including Swimming, Open Water Swimming, Disability Swimming, Learn to Swim, Water Polo, Diving and Artistic (Synchronised) Swimming with a vision of “Every child a swimmer…… Every school, a pool”
CGA’s main objectives focus on:
•All sectors of our community, incorporating those who have lacked access to aquatics facilities, teachers and/or coaching in the past
•Developing a working relationship with schools’ aquatics and tertiary institutions in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan area
•The identification and development of athletes with high performance potential
•Increasing the membership of and participation, particularly that of disabled athletes, in all the aquatics disciplines.
CGA is a largely self- funded organisation with all of its operations covered by membership and event participation fees. Unfortunately these fees are not sufficient to cover the costs involved in achieving all of the above objectives. On this basis, CGA is requesting assistance from the community to support our various programmes in order to achieve the various objectives outlined above.
The CGA President has recently approved a sponsorship package providing details of what sponsorship opportunities are available, the framework & policy for sponsorship and an introductory letter. Please see below for the details:
CGA would appreciate any and all considerations for donation or sponsorship and should you need any further information or detail, please contact the CGA office and they will be glad to assist you (tel 011 402 1722 and ask for Sue or Barbara).
